Putin Nominated For Nobel Peace Prize by British Lord

From Echo Moskvy:

Vladimir Putin has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by British Lord Peter Truscott, famous for his biography of the Russian president, but also for being involved in corruption trials

As Sky News reported, in 2009, he was suspended from the upper house of parliament until the end of the session by unanimous vote as he had been found guilty of being prepared to work in the interests of lobbyists and introduce their modifications to laws. Another peer was suspended at the same time, Thomas Taylor, and the Sunday Times newspaper noted that this was the first such punishment in the last 350 years. Today, Lord Truscott suggested Putin for the Nobel Prize because his initiative saved thousands of lives and avoided conflict in Syria.

Corruptioneers of the world unite!!!

[Note: deliberately reminiscent of Lenin’s “Proletariats of the world, unite!”]

Yeah, exactly, unite all the corruptioneers and send them to a desert island.

Looks like VVP‘s Nobel Prize will be more expensive for us than the Olympics.
