The most popular tweet in Russia is a message from a girl promising to run naked through Moscow
The girl who promised to run naked through Moscow beat the record previously held by Medvedev’s cat. In March, a message from the former president appeared on Twitter, saying that she had not disappeared, gained more than 5,000 retweets, setting a record for Russia in 2012. Yesterday, the record was broken by a formerly unknown girl, who has already achieved more than 33,000 retweets.
“If this tweet reaches 20,000 retweets by the 31st December, then on that day, during the day, I will run naked through Moscow! It won’t get 100% :)”, wrote Anastasia Timerbayeva on her Twitter account on the 23rd November.
It turned out that the girl works for an internet advertising agency. It would appear that she was testing her professional skills on Twitter users, as she is not going to fulfill her promise.
“Nah, guys, that’s not gonna happen, in a couple of hours, more than 10,000 RT’s is unreal! If that’s the tempo, then sorry, but it’s 100,000 as a minimum”, wrote Anastasia, after her message quickly attained the required number of retweets. The girl said that it was done by bots, and she wrote that she was not sure that she would carry it out. “Gentlemen;) I want to run… but I don’t want to… I’m not going to run =DDD weather permitting, we’ll see what happens =DDD”
20,000 users are left without what they were promised, but the girl’s Twitter account now has more than 18,000 followers.
