No-one Turned Up to Protest against Putin

From Ridus.ru:

No one came to protest against Putin in Moscow

No one turned up to the opposition rally on Kaluzhskaya square in Moscow. The event, called “The National March in Defense of the Fatherland” was planned for 2 o’clock.

The organisers of the event wrote on “VKontakte”, a social network site: “February 23, 2013: Day of the Defenders of the Fatherland. Representatives of all oppositional forces in Russia are going to defend our homeland from the power of traitors and corrupt officials.” The march was going to call for the resignation of Putin and the dissolution of the State Duma.

More than 4,500 people signed up as protesters, but when the time came, nobody was to be found except reinforced police squads and journalists.

Funny

Putin and the government should be ashamed that there’s no-one left in the country who wants to say no ..

эдуард-8875:

Another virtual “March of Millions”. Shame on you, Mr. Opposition. The police are getting paid, but journalists need to eat.

arsss-9370:

If there were no protestor nor organisors, then that means that there was no protest planned.
It’s stupid to talk about something that wasn’t planned failing.

Kosstix:

Everyone was getting drunk – it was a holiday )
We should consider that the protest was by the cops, because apart from them, no-one else was there.

kiellietrwl:

Who is this Putin? Yeah, he’s nobody!

azoloisius:

Hahaha shame for the opposition )))

allexx82:

This is just like knock-a-door-run! Clever, clever =)))

alex-4654:

Epic fail

Сопричастный:

Needs to be said that the organisers were communists. No-one went because of them.

Чеширский котик:

Trollololololol

Mihon:

They must have done a great job with the planning, seeing as this is the first I’ve heard of it.

Римидалв:

This fake protest was thought up by the authorities so that they can trumpet on prime-time how the protest movement has collapsed to zero.

Алексей-5587:

The US State Department didn’t give them any money, nor did [Georgian politician] Givi [Targamadze]. Who’s gonna go and freeze their arses off for free?
