Russia May Bring Back Daylight Savings Time After All

From Echo Moskvy:

Nataliya Timakova, press secretary to the prime minister denies reports that the government are preparing documents to bring back daylight savings time

“The government has no such documents on this topic”, said Timakova to Interfax. It was previously reported that another bill would be introduced to parliament on the 20th January, the fourth on this topic. According to its author, Sergei Kalashinikov from the LDPR [Liberal Democratic Party of Russia], daylight savings time will return as early as this autumn.

It’ll be a surprise!

Dear God, get Dimon [Note: nickname for Dmitry Medvedev] a new toy already… no need to be ashamed…

clear:

Nobody’s going to ask the government their opinion. Now, they’ve all been replaced by a single vertical structure – the president and his administration.

winsearcher:

iPhone [Note: another nickname for Dmitry Medvedev] is clearly dreaming of bringing Russia closer to American time. Maybe even moon-time.

m_petroff_:

Yeah, he doesn’t give a f***, that idiot doesn’t care what time it is, he doesn’t work anyway!

The story of Medvedev and his lost time…

natckom60:

Putin has decided – WINTER TIME! Then when we have the Summer Olympics in St Petersburg in 2004, Putin will decide – SUMMER TIME

milenna:

It’s a real shame that they’re not preparing for it. Give us back our stolen hour! I’m for winter time. It’s closer to astronomic time. I’m sick of getting up in complete darkness.

perestarok:

What are these freaks about?!

sg_74:

Nataliya! I love you!
