Minor Convicted Under Gay Rights Law Pardoned

From Echo Moskvy:

Commission for the Affairs of Minors in the Bryansk Oblast Overturns Punishment of Student at Local School

The minor was put on the register for violating the law banning gay propaganda. But, as the 9th Year (approx 15 years old) student told Lenta.ru herself, today the Commission for the Affairs of Minors met and overturned its own decision.

The schoolgirl was punished for admitting her own non-traditional sexual orientation. The only reason charges were not pressed was that the girl is not yet 16.

Comments from Echo Moskvy:

y718bx:

This girl didn’t just admit her orientation, she wandered round the whole of the gay scene with placards. Lost cause.

sparky:

Did you wander round with her?

koshkaedu:

Bryansk schoolgirl copies Pakistani schoolgirl.

azizian:

Civil servants from the Juvenile Affairs commission changed their mind. It happens.

victorjuljevich:

Load of crap! Admissions of orientation can’t qualify as propaganda. It’s a-bloody-mazing.

bazilgu:

Idiocy and the desire to curry favour with local civil servants.

systematakaya:

It’s terrifying to read what the bureaucrats get up to, who are desperately trying to serve Putin but are getting the horse before the cart.

sparky:

Now Bryansk’s homophobes will lie in wait until the girl turns 16.

xyteen:

She should sue for moral damages, caused by them spreading the story across the whole country.

igor39new:

“Overturned”… just in time for Sochi.
