Ukrainian police state that a monument to Lenin in the Odessa Oblast was not destroyed deliberately, it fell over due to wear on the plinth
We recall that it was reported earlier that unknown persons destroyed the monument in the Nikolayevskiy region during the night of the fourth of January. The architectural commission and representatives of the utility services were called out to the site of the incident. They explained that the monument was located on a two metre cement plinth which had worn, the monument fell over and split “at the joins”. The commission reported that there were no signs of deliberate damage or destruction, reports RIA Novosti.
