Beer Finally Becomes an Alcoholic Drink in Russia

From Echo Moskvy:

From today in Russia, beer is an alcoholic drink

It will be sold only in large shops from 8 in the morning til 11 in the evening. Beer adverts on TV are forbidden from now on. These limits were announced in 2011 as part of the fight against alcoholism.

Comments from Echo Moskvy:

putinist:

Oooh HutiPutinees, be happy, you’ve got your stability, is this what you wanted?

bujhmc:

The days are shorter, time zones are shorter – and beer’s an alcoholic drink. And of course physics and chemistry are fake sciences.

desaqz:

Go on, put the restrictions on advertising, but standing in queues at the shop, well, I don’t really want that.

ivanov356:

What about kefir, petrol?

In a high-rise block, on the top floor, and the lift will be turned off specially.

kaytski_karl:

Thanks to Comrade Putin for our sober life, hurrah comrades

wlada111:

Beer is a medicinal drink, particularly today! I’m drunk right now!

taximen:

I was working… I’ll make up for it today :)

abahar:

During Yeltsin’s “democracy”, the country drank enough vodka to knock two thirds off their life. It’s good, it’s time to quietly turn the tap off again…
